1. Introduction
At Gudmann Translations, your personal information is handled with respect. This is a notice about what kind of personal information I collect and process. The EU’s General Data Protection Regulation contains provisions and requirements pertaining to the processing of personally identifiable information. According to this, no personal data may be processed unless it is done on a lawful basis or if the data processor has received consent from the data’s owner. Personal data is for instance a person’s name, phone number, or email address. 2. What personal information is collected?
When you contact me via email, telephone, this website, or otherwise, I may save personal data in my contact and operations systems such as:
- Your name
- Your phone number
- Your email address
- Your country of residence, if provided
- Your job title, if provided
In addition, I may of course save information regarding your query or order and, if applicable, your company. I may also save your emails and other relevant communications in order to e.g. process your order or query or to perform the services needed in an appropriate manner.
3. Cookies
I only use cookies in order to remember your acceptance of the privacy and cookie policy and in order to count the number of visitors on the website. The latter data is aggregated and anonymous.
4. How is your information used?
The contact information and other relevant business-related information mentioned above are collected in order to be able to manage my customer/supplier relations and deliver/order services (so-called “legitimate purposes”). The information is used to process quotes, orders, invoices, deliveries, etc. as well as to contact clients or suppliers regarding current or future projects. The data is also kept on record in order to comply with laws and regulations regarding taxes, accounting, etc.
5. For how long will the information be retained?
Your personal information is kept only for the period of time which is necessary for the above-mentioned purposes or according to what the laws and regulations require (for instance product safety, taxation, and book-keeping) and will be deleted thereafter.
6. Who is your information shared with?
As a rule, your personal data is not shared with any third parties directly. I do however keep copies of my records with well-renowned, external cloud storage providers in Europe who adhere to the GDPR provisions.
7. Information security
Data security is important. I use reasonable administrative and technical means to protect the personal data collected.
8. Your rights
According to the terms in the above-mentioned legislation, you are entitled to exercise your access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection rights and can do so by explicitly letting me know using the contact data below.
9. Data breaches
I will inform you without any delay of any data breaches, such as hacking, illegal deletion, editing, or forwarding of personal information, by accident or not, or if someone illegally gains access to personal information in my records. I will take the necessary measures to prevent another data breach and limit the consequences.
